Various clubs, societies and forums enable students to explore new horizons and express their creativity in myriads of ways as per the following details.
Various competitions are organized throughout the year to encourage, inspire and instill a sense of confidence among the students like debate, paper-reading, declamation, dramatics, dance, singing, music, flower-arrangement, quiz, painting, rangoli, poetic recitation, etc.
There are arrangements of almost all major games and sports like cricket, kho-kho, basket ball, badminton, table tennis, kabaddi, wrestling, athletics etc in the college premises for the physical development of the students. Students may participate in these games according to their interests. Frequent participants are selected for the college team for Annual Athletic meet, which is organized every year.
In tune with the National Service Scheme motto, “Not me but you”, student volunteers undertake social work on large scale in and around College Campus. Issues like, female foeticide, adult education, AIDS awareness, environmental courses etc are addressed in NSS activities. One seven-day camp and two one-day camps have to be attended by the volunteers.
Subject Societies such as Literary society, History society, Commerce society and Science society have been set up in the College. For an all round development and knowledge of the students, various programs and competitions are organized by these societies from time to time.

Youth can effectively act as an agent of social transformations. Therefore, College has set up the following social outreach societies, which inspire and motivate young minds to be socially responsive citizens:

RED RIBBON SOCIETY: For AIDS Awareness
TRAFFIC AWARENESS: For making students aware of Traffic rules and Traffic Hazards.
PRAKRITI: Society for Environment awareness
ANTI DRUG SOCIETY: To aware students of Drug Menace
KALA SRIJAN: society, which makes students creative and aware of the best use of waste articles.
Under the National Education Policy, a Women Cell under the guidance of Dr. Manju Thakur (Deptt. of Zoology) has been set up. The cell undertakes the following activities for the Physical, Economical, Physiological and Legal Empowerment of the Girl students by:
a) Creating awareness among girl students about their rights and educate and motivate them to raise their voice against gender bias.
b) Organizing various types of activities to keep the girl students to actualize their potential.
c) Organizing self defense activities and extension lectures for health awareness.
d) Enhancing skills of the girl students to undertake self employment as their career such as beauty culture courses, soft toys making, pickle making etc.
e) Organizing various activities such as Declamation, Slogan Writing, and Poetic sensibility for expression of their thoughts.
The College divides all the regular students into tutorial groups. Each Group has a teacher in charge, who provides all kind of guidance to the group members and thus establishes a personal rapport with them. Tutor’s recommendation is must for all the requests specially leave application made to the Principal or to the Chief tutor.
SC/BC Scholarships are given to the students of these categories through Haryana Govt.
Career Guidance Cell
Career Guidance Cell works with career counseling advisors to assess student interests, skills and personality. Seminars, Workshops, Group discussions and Mock interviews are conducted and experts from professional institutions and companies are invited to interact with students.
Once an IJDCian, always an IJDCian! The college has constituted an alumni association to cement a strong bond, which exists between the College and its ex-students.
The college provides hostel facilities to the girl students within college premise.
Library, Book Bank and Reading Room
College has a fully computerized library. Almost all the national newspapers, prominent weekly, fortnightly and monthly magazines are being subscribed by the library. College library has a book bank. On recommendation of their teachers, meritorious and needy students can get textbooks for whole semester from the book bank.
Sant Ishar Singh Educational and Charitable Society is running a full fledged Multi Specialty Hospital. Doctors of the Hospital are invited in the College to aware the students about health and hygiene. In case of any emergency, the students can avail the services as per rules and regulations of the hospital.
Additional facilities for skill development:
College organizes few additional courses in the free period to enhance knowledge and skill of the students so that they are prepared to meet the challenges of the competitive world after they complete their degree from the college. These courses will certainly help to develop their overall personality.
